18 months old!

Well, today Miss Megan turns 1 1/2!!! How did that happen? She is such a cute, interesting little person. Our lives have been busier & more crazy since she joined us on that snowy day 18 months ago, but I am ever so grateful that she is in our family.

Things about her now: she's still pretty little (about 15th percentile for height & weight), she is (for now) a wonderful eater, she asks me for a "baba" when she gets tired, she LOVES balloons, her brothers, going outside, animals, her babies, shoes (pronounced "shhh shhh"), and she has recently started to like Elmo. She is a great sleeper, and wakes me up every day by calling my name ("Maaaa? Maaaaa?") on the monitor. She is starting to put 2 words together when she talks- like "Hi dada" or the other day it was "Bye balloon". She says a lot of words, if you know what they mean. Unfortunately she has about a dozen words that sound alike- "buh buh". That could mean blankie, baby, bye bye, balloon, backyard, boogies, brothers, etc.

She also loooooves her mommy. :) Sometimes though she's a little cranky about her preference for me. For example, if we're all in the car together and Dave tries to get her out of her carseat- she says "No, mama!" LOL She's good about expressing herself. She also loves to climb. This has been driving me nuts lately, as she climbs on the kitchen chairs and then onto the table. I can't keep her off of there! Last night she figured out how to climb up the ladder on the boys' bunkbed (with Dave right behind her). It would be impossible to keep her out of their room, so instead Dave took one of the rungs off the ladder so she can't do it anymore. Problem solved for now! She also loves to color, and she loves books. Sometimes I call her the book nazi, because she will demand you read to her! She shoves a book in your face until you read it. It's the same 5 or so books over & over. I normally don't mind though!

She climbed on the boys' desk because we accidentally left the chair in front of it.
