Our fun outing

Lately I've been wanting to do something a little more interesting with our family. Saturdays are really our only free day, and they're typically spent cleaning, grocery shopping, napping, etc. Not this one! :) First Megan & I went to the farmer's market in Puyallup and bought some produce. Then we came home and picked up the boys, and were out the door by about 10:30. We drove to the Tacoma Dome transit station, parked the car, and got on the Tacoma light rail train. It's a free little train that goes back & forth between this station and downtown Tacoma. One reason why I wanted to do it was because Jonathan has never been on anything other than a car. Daniel has been on a plane & a bus before, but Jonathan hadn't.

So we rode the train a few minutes and got off at the Museum of Glass (http://www.museumofglass.org/). We had never been there before. I liked it more than I thougth I would! We got to watch some guys blowing glass & making art with it. It was very cool! They also had an area for kids to do a craft, so the boys weren't bored. Next we went to Freighthouse Square (just down the street from the Tacoma Dome) for lunch. After eating we went downstairs in the building and the boys got to play with Legos at a Lego studio.





We then got in the car and drove up the road to McKinley Park. We had never been there before, but will more often now. It's actually a nice park in Tacoma! :)
